We Live by Advertising
I’m doing some research on popular viral ads for a client, and I came across some good ones that I’ve never seen before. Let me just say that I’m not 100% comfortable with the idea of advertising as entertainment. But then on the other hand, I am getting paid to write those entertaining advertisements. So, I guess I actually feel okay about it. On the other other hand, t would be awesome if we lived in a world where no one had to make money and we all had trust funds.

And then there’s this, which is routinely derided as the “worst viral campaign ever.” I have not watched it yet, because it’s really long. Which, I think, is just one of the reasons why it’s the worst viral campaign ever. No one wants to watch something that’s longer than 4 minutes. No one.
Over NINE minutes? No thanks. I couldn't make it through 3 minutes of it.
While you're over-exposing yourself to advertising, be on the lookout for music for me. I've realized that I am exactly the target demographic that the people who choose music for commercials is aiming at, 'cuz I tend to love songs used in commercials. Let me know if you find anything I might not have heard yet.
